You can now convert multiple SOLIDWORKS part or assembly files into drawing files by using SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler
1. Go to Windows Start and type Task Scheduler. Open the Task scheduler 2025
2. Once open, you can see there are multiple option to choose from. For this article, we will focusing on Create Drawings.
3. After clicking the Create Drawing, you will need to insert a drawing template that you already pre made before this. This one could be the template that already have the company logo, pre defined views and following the company standard. The file format also should be in DRWDOT format. Then, can either add file or add folder. Add folder method will be much useful if you already put all the file together in one place and can convert all of it in one go. Then for the task output folder either you can choose to put the result at the same place or can just create a new folder at the place whenever you like.
4. Then, click finish. You also can decide when to schedule this task, for example during lunch hour. So by opening multiple files it will not cause any lagging and you can leave SOLIDWORKS do the drawings. Figure below shows the output after doing the conversion to drawing. This kind of method can a little bit ease our job rather than need to do manually one by one. Thanks!
