Is your dimension showing like this?
Instead of this?
Fret not! This is just the dimension text position and it’s completely flexible to be modified:
- Select the dimension.
- The PropertyManager appears on your left. Switch to the Leaders tab.
- Expand Custom Text Position and select Horizontal.
- Click OK or Esc to close the PropertyManager.
And you’re good to go.
But wait! What if I have a lot of dimensions that I want to rotate? Do I have to do this one by one?
Of course not! If you wish to standardize your whole drawing to use a certain text position, you can just set it in your document properties:
- Go to System Options > Document Properties.
- Expand Dimensions, and select Linear. Under Text position, choose whichever type that you require.
- Click OK.
That’s it! You can also switch your dimension text positions for other dimensions types as well, such as Angle, Chamfer, or Radius.
