At Default setting when we create a 2D Sketch with certain dimensional constraint, we are unable to access or edit it when we exit the specific sketch. Meaning in 3D environment we could not see the sketch constraint and edit it. So should we require to edit those dimension, we need to enter the specific sketch and edit it.
However there are ways whereby we can display and gain access to those sketch constraint.
- Go to Tools > Options
- Then go to Infrastructure > Part Infrastructure
- Then go to Display Tab. Under the “Display In Geometry Area”, click the box for “Parameters of features and constraints”
- Click OK
5. Then at you specific sketch, you may need to select which constraint that you want to display in the 3D environment. For this example we choose the 100 mm dimension. Right click > go to Offset.x object > Add Display
Then you may exit your sketch
6. Now you can see that the constraint 100mm is visible even in the 3D environment. You may also edit the constraint by double click it and enter a new value as usual.
