Currently, SOLIDWORKS does not have a built-in feature to automatically synchronize cut list item names with the material type. However, you can achieve a similar result using the following workaround:
1. Enable Automatic Renaming
- Go to Weldment Settings and select Rename cut list folders with Description property value.
2. Access Cut List Properties
- Open the Cut List Properties window.
3. Set the Description to Material Type
- In the Properties Summary section, locate Description and set it to SW-Material.
This method will rename your cut list folders based on the Description property, aligning them with the material type.
