To configure Internet Explorer to open an eDrawings ActiveX HTML, perform the following steps:
1. Open the ‘Internet Options’ control panel.
2. On the ‘Advanced’ tab, in the ‘Settings’ dialog under ‘Security’, make the following changes.
a. Activate the option ‘Enable 64-bit Processes for Enhanced Protected Mode’.
b. Deactivate the option ‘Enable Enhanced Protected Mode’.
3. In the ’Internet Options’, click the ‘Security’ tab > Select the ‘Local intranet’ zone > click ‘Custom level.
a. Apply the specifications shown in the attached image ‘S-078645_4’.
b. Restart the computer.
4. Open the Windows® Registry Editor.
CAUTION:
Incorrectly editing the registry can severely damage your operating system. The SOLIDWORKS Technical Support team strongly suggests that you back up the registry data before making any changes to the registry.
5. Browse to the following registry key:
‘HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer’
6. Delete the ‘TabProcConfig’ registry key.
7. Browse to the following registry key:
‘HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0’
8. Create a ‘QWORD’ key with the name ‘2500’ and the data value ‘0’.
