Surface and solid body faces can be removed using Delete Face feature in SOLIDWORKS.

1. Click Delete Face on the Surfaces toolbar, or Insert > Face > Delete.
2. Click the face that want to be deleted in the graphic area.
3. Under options section, select Delete.
4. Click OK.
