To reset the SOLIDWORKS User Interface to the default view, you will need to reset a registry key that is related to the SOLIDWORKS User Interface.
Here are the steps to reset SOLIDWORKS User Interface:
WARNING: Be very careful when making modifications to the registry as this may cause serious instability on your system. As such, you will need full administrative permissions on your computer to be able to edit them.
Please note that IME is not responsible for any changes that you make to your system, the following is just a guide.
Step 1. Close all SOLIDWORKS session.
Step 2. Launch the Registry Editor.
Step 3. Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Solidworks\Solidworks <your version>\User Interface folder.
Step 4. Right click > Rename on the folder User Interface to User Interface_old.
Step 5. Close Registry Editor and re-launch SOLIDWORKS. The User Interface is now reset to the default.
