You have the option to customize the default description settings for bounding box properties of solid and sheet metal cut list bodies, both for new and existing entries.
To modify the description settings in bounding box properties, follow these steps:
- Open a document and click on “Options” in the Standard toolbar. Navigate to the “Document Properties” tab and select “Weldments.”
- In the Bounding Box Properties section, to change the description for solid bodies:
a) Uncheck “Use default description.”
b) In the description field, enter a new name for “Plate.”
c) Use the drop down arrow to reorder “SW-Thickness,” “SW-Length,” or “SW-Width.” If you choose “None” for a value, it will be removed from the text expression.
- To update the description for sheet metal bodies:
a) Uncheck “Use default description.”
b) In the description field, type a new description. - Choose whether to apply the changes to both existing and new bounding boxes, or only to new bounding boxes. Note that changes to existing bounding box descriptions cannot be undone.
- Click “OK” to save your changes.
