Quick Snap is a handy tool in SOLIDWORKS that helps you align sketch entities to key geometry points, such as endpoints, midpoints, or intersections. Follow these easy steps to use it effectively.
- Start a Sketch:
- Open a part file and select a plane or face to sketch on.
- Click Sketch to begin.
- Enable Quick Snap:
- Go to Tools > Options.
- In the System Options tab, select Sketch on the left.
- Check Enable Quick Snap.
- Choose Snap Points:
- In the same menu, select the snap points you want (e.g., Midpoint, Endpoint, Center Point, etc.).
- These options make it easy to align your geometry precisely.
- Hover your mouse near a geometry point.
- SOLIDWORKS highlights the snap points dynamically.
- Click to place your sketch entities (lines, circles, etc.) directly on these points.
