The SolidWorks 2024 SP 2.0 version has a known issue where it can no longer save files as 3D PDFs due to the removal of this feature.

A general hotfix is available for SOLIDWORKS® Desktop 2024 SP2 to resolve this issue. You can access the hotfix at the following link:

To apply the hotfix:

1. Confirm that SOLIDWORKS 2024 SP2 is the currently installed version.
2. Close any open SOLIDWORKS sessions and ensure that sldworks_fs.exe and sldworks.exe are not running in the Windows® Task Manager. If they are, right-click on the processes and end them.
3. Download the HotFix_HF-1257272_2024sp02V2.exe file from the link above and save it to your local disk.
4. Run the HotFix_HF-1257272_2024sp02V2.exe file to extract and install the hotfix.
5. To verify that the hotfix was applied successfullya. Open Programs and Features in the Windows Control Panel.
   b. Check that the list includes SolidWorks HotFix HF-1257272 as an installed item.
