Problem
When your SolidWorks CAM program grows too large and complex, the simulation may run very slowly. Thankfully, there is a solution to this.
Solution
1. Lowering the simulation quality. Go to “SOLIDWORKS CAM Options” located in the command manager, under the “Simulation” tab, lower the quality of the “Tool mode” or “Turbo mode” simulation. This will make their simulations run faster. You can also lower the “Comparison” quality to improve the performance when “Show Difference” is activated.
2. Lower document image quality. Under Options -> Document Properties -> Image quality, lower the “Shaded and draft quality HLR/HLV resolution” slider to improve the overall performance of SolidWorks in compensation for the image quality.
