When deleting a workflow, an error message prompt out and show “Failed to delete workflow ‘workflow name’. The workflow contains files and cannot be deleted.” and the workflow cannot be deleted.
- Open the workflow you want to delete. Check what are the states that in the workflow.
- Go to file explorer and login to your vault.
- Open complete search, go to workflow tab to search for the file in first sate, work in progress.
- Delete the files which is in the state as shown as in the workflow.
- Repeat step 3-4 and replacing the work in progress to the other states in the workflow and delete the file.
- If the search is showing no result, but the workflow still cannot be deleted.
- Go to the outside vault, right click on the vault and select properties.
- Open the “Deleted Items” tab, check the Include item in sub-folders. It will show all the deleted items.
- Right click on the file and select destroy.
- Go back to the PDM Administration and the workflow should can be deleted.
