Why i received the error “Stop! Unable to find ALPH & MU from curve fitting” when i running Non-Linear Simulation Study?
This error pop out when the software cannot calculate the Ogden material constants based on the inputted curve test data. The most common reason cause for this is if the curve data was inputted using incorrect units. The curve data in the column A (the left column) of the must be inputted with units of stretch ratio, not strain.
Furthermore, there is very important to convert the engineering strain into stretch ratio. Stretch ratio is equal to (1+engineering strain). Check the column A curve data for the Ogden material to see whether the test curve input data has any values that are less than 1. If so, this means that the data is not inputted in stretch data. Convert this data to stretch ratio, and try running the nonlinear study again.
After changed the Strain value into Stretch Ratio, the solver is able to run.
