Some user might find an issue where SolidWorks stuck or crash on splash screen and would not launch.
In order to solve this issue, you might consider to repair SolidWorks CEF application. To repair SOLIDWORKS CEFs, you should first ensure you have the original installation files available and then use the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager to repair the installation.
- First you need to find the SolidWorks Installer file with the same version as per installed on your workstation. Please contact our Technical support if you could not find the installer.
- Open the installer Folder and find the folder swcef.
- Open the setup application inside that folder.
- Select on Next.
- Select Repair installation. If you do not have this page, then you might open a wrong version than your SolidWorks.
- Wait for the repairing process to finish. Then, close the application the restart the computer. Then try open SolidWorks again.
